Hamburg is a great example of how a city destroyed during a war can be rebuilt if the developers have not only money, but also taste. On the excursion you will see a commercial, cultural, industrial, scientific and still a port city - pleasing to the eye, caressing the ear and giving the feeling of distant wanderings. A city of concerts, musicals, discos, first-class culinary and medical arts. Individual excursion for 1-10 people Duration 2 hours Children Allowed with children How it goes On foot Rating 4.94 on 17 reviews € 132 per excursion Price for 1-10 people, regardless of the number of participants
What awaits you
The second most populous city in Germany is located between two seas, but it is worth coming here not only if you decide to update and replenish your wardrobe, order or rebuild a megayacht or decorate the cabin of your plane. Of course, a tour of Hamburg includes the town hall square and the place where present-day Hamburg "began". We will walk along the oldest street in the city and along the street on which the famous fire of 1842 began and on which, thanks to this, the old merchant buildings have been preserved. You will learn what “port city” means: where the port used to be and where the lakes came from in the city center. You will see a new type of "office real estate" that appeared in the 19th century and changed the way of life of the Hamburg merchants. We will see the evolution of business architecture and how the rule of law and the judiciary is architecturally emphasized. We will see the symbol of Hamburg - "Michel". Let's walk through the port area - a synonym for debauchery (losing, however, its charm, captured by books, songs and movies). We will leave the borders in which Hamburg was until the second half of the 19th century, and see areas that delight the eye and soul with beauty and comfort - canals, quiet and lively streets, built up country (though today it is a city) villas and apartment buildings in the Art Nouveau style. Those who wish can see the place where "great freedom" began during the time of the confrontation between Hamburg and Denmark. If you have the time and desire, we will take a ride down the Elbe and see what the former fishing villages turn into if there is a lot of money in the city.
Walking tour. For an additional fee, you can take it by car and see even more beauty and interesting things.
