No place is more romantic for walks than Albayzín in Granada. This quarter is not only the cradle of the city, but also a place that undoubtedly has a special energy.
The winding narrow streets lead to the viewpoints. The most famous Mirador de San Nicolas attracts not only tourists, but also locals, musicians, artists and romantics every evening. And where, if not here, you can see the most beautiful sunsets!
Such places are usually filled with legends. And here there are a lot of them. On a romantic walk along Albayzin, we will plunge into the world of fantasy. An unexpected turn in the next street will be followed by an unexpected plot twist in the legend.
During the walk, I will tell you stories about Moors and Christians, about valiant warriors and gentle lovers, about smugglers and Moorish treasures, about a cunning weaver and an insidious old woman, a well with sweet water and a black stove, and how all these things are connected with literally the legendary Albaycín, one of the most famous quarters in Granada.
Our path will run through the labyrinth of narrow streets of the Albayzin quarter. Along the way, we will see traces of bygone times and cultures: medieval reservoirs and minarets turned into bell towers, Catholic churches and, of course, breathtaking views of Granada and the Alhambra!
