What awaits you

Our path lies in the very heart of Portugal - the central region of Estremadura.

  • The journey begins with a visit Tomar and the castle of the Knights Templar. The castle is a magnificent religious complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Fatima city is a world center of Catholic pilgrimage, which ranks third in importance in Europe (after Santiago de Campostelo in Spain and Leon in France). Millions of pilgrims from all over the world flock here every year.
  • Batalha. In 1385, before the battle with the Spanish-French army, King João I gave a dinner: in case of victory, build a monastery in honor of the Most Holy Theotokos. The king won, with the result that Portugal gained independence and a magnificent example of monumental Gothic architecture, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Alkobasa. In March 1147, before an important battle with the Moors, the first king of Portugal, Afonso Henriques, vowed to build a monastery if God would grant him victory. In 1153, the grandiose construction of the Cistercian monastery of Santa Maria began, which for many centuries was the spiritual center of Portugal.
  • At dawn - in the past a fishing village, and today a small town, which was chosen by surfers all over the world. World championships are held here, professionals of surfing, this extreme sport, set world records here! It is in Nazar that the highest waves are in late autumn, winter and early spring. And also a lighthouse, a tiny chapel where Vasco da Gama prayed, and a church with an image of the Madonna of Nazareth.
  • Obidos is a fairytale city. Life has stood still behind its walls since the XIV century. For centuries, the Portuguese kings gave Obidos to their beloved, which is why it is called the "city of brides". The feeling that you are in the Middle Ages is guaranteed to you. While walking through the narrow streets with all kinds of shops, we will taste the national cherry liqueur Ginzha in a chocolate cup.
  • Return to Lisbon.

Organizational details

  • Entrance tickets are not included in the price (from 3 to 7 €)
  • Please note: the cost of 200 € is indicated for the tour in your car. The cost of the excursion in our car (Renault Grand Scenic or BMW) - 350 € for 1-4 people
  • It is rather difficult to visit 6 cities within the framework of one excursion, so I recommend staying at four. The best option is the route Tomar - Batalha - Alcobasa - Obidos. Alkobasa can be replaced with Nazar.
