Program
I have come up with several children's excursions designed with the interests of girls and boys in mind. You can choose one of three options, the first two of them are quite universal:
"Leonardo da Vinci - a genius or an alien?" 500 ago Leonardo da Vinci lived in Florence. Following the map left by the genius, children will get to know the history of Florence and its main attractions. What streets did 15-year-old Leonardo wander, where did he work and where did he buy groceries? We will also visit artisan workshops, where Florentine craftsmen will show us the ancient techniques of making Florentine paper or mosaics. If you wish, the walk around the city can be extended and supplemented with a visit to the Leonardo da Vinci Museum (additional charge): solving riddles and puzzles, we will come to the museum, where devices and mechanisms can be set in motion. Cranes, a tank and a parachute - how much Leonardo invented! Who is he - a genius or an alien ?
“Lorenzo the shoemaker” About 500 years ago the shoemaker Lorenzo lived in Florence. In his old age, he decided to retire on a high mountain and decided to live in complete solitude. After thinking a lot about life during the Renaissance, he wrote a letter to the future. He hid it in a wooden chest and buried it under an old pine tree. What was in this letter? He asked you and your guys to describe and sketch modern Florence. What was this beautiful city like five hundred years ago? Let's briefly become reporters from the future, follow the map drawn by Lorenzo and compare what was and what was not in those days. Ready for an adventure
"Casket of Maria de Medici" (excursion for little fashionistas) Maria was one of the heiresses of Cosimo I de Medici. She was raised as a real princess: she spoke excellent Spanish, loved to embroider and sing. She had many brothers and sisters, as many as twelve, so she often had to hide her secrets. Once she hid a small chest with her dearest little things. Let's find out what's in it
Walking around the city, we can imagine the life of the Florentine aristocrats, their magnificent outfits and luxurious palaces. In the ancient pharmacy, we will find out where they ordered perfumes, and walking along the Ponte Vecchio, we will see if the fashion for jewelry has changed. We will also look into the workshops of artisans to find out where Maria liked to choose notebooks and paper for letters. Good-natured Florentine craftsmen will show how the peacock's tail is made and how real masterpieces are made from small pieces of semi-precious stone.
Thus, a walk around the city will turn into a fun game in which your child will feel like a real traveler and discoverer!
