Harmonious ensemble of medieval streets of the Old Town in the original form of "almond" Victor Hugo called "the perfect Gothic city". And today it is considered one of the most beautiful and well-preserved in the entire North of Spain, where every stone in the narrow cobbled streets keeps the history and legends of the past. I will introduce you to the main attractions of the historic part of Vitoria-Gasteiz, such as Virgen Blanca and Plaza de España, the new Maria Inmaculada Cathedral and Florida Park - miniature botanical garden, medieval churches of San Pedro and San Vicente, palaces and mansions of noble persons of the Renaissance and Art Nouveau eras.
You will see the old Cathedral of Santa Maria, unique in that it is possible to observe the process of restoration work, which attracted the attention of the world community and famous writers such as Paulo Coelho and Ken Follett. You will be able to touch the old fortress wall of the 11th century, in excellent condition that has survived to this day, as well as to see the original wall paintings - muralsthat revived the austere Gothic look of the city.
