On a walk through the historical center, you will get acquainted with the life and work of the writer Maxim Gorky, learn how people lived in the Russian province a hundred or more years ago, about the old city life and the waves of the revolution, and, most importantly, about the boy Alyosha Peshkov, the hero of the story "Childhood".

In addition, you will see the first city water supply; the first tram in Russia; houses where writers, architects and priests lived; monuments and memorial plaques. At the end, we will drive along the city tram loop to see the ancient house of the writer.
