This trip will introduce you to the two main symbols of the Costa Blanca: the blue domes that crown the town of Altea, and the Cape Peñon Difach in Calpe. You will be imbued with the flavor of a fishing town, walk through the local shops and cobbled streets. Admire the steep shores of the cape, cutting into the sea, and relax in the botanical garden with a cup of aromatic tea. And if you're lucky, you will meet graceful pink flamingos who have chosen the salt lakes! What awaits you
Picturesque streets of Altea Perched on the side of a mountain, Altea has retained its authentic fishing village appeal. All the houses in the old town are painted white, and the windows and portals of the houses are decorated with flowers. We will stroll down the narrow cobbled streets to the main square of the city, admire the wonderful views of the coastline and see the beautiful Nuestra Señora del Consuelo church, the blue and white dome of which crowns the city. And we will definitely look into the numerous local shops where the Altea masters offer their works: jewelry, clothes, paintings and much more
Picturesque Cape Peñon Difach Then you will find yourself in the coastal Calpe, which boasts amazing nature and scenery. Here we will see the symbol of the entire coast - Cape Peñon Difach with steep rocky shores, surrounded by many noisy seagulls. Many travelers, including Ernest Hemingway, consider this place to be the most beautiful on the coast! Outside the city, we will explore the salt lakes that have existed in Calpe since ancient times. This is a resting place for migratory birds, including pink flamingos, which flock here to feast on seaweed. Perhaps we will get to see these beautiful birds
Botanical Garden or Temple of Archangel Michael We will also include one of the attractions in the route: the temple of the Archangel Michael, the first Orthodox church on Spanish soil, located near Altea, or an unusual botanical garden on the way to Calpe, where you can forget about the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoying nature and peace, as well as rest for a cup of tea with sweets. The choice is yours!
