Mountain towers - a symbol of the edge The journey will begin in the Dzheyrakh gorge, which is deservedly called the Sun Valley - already here you will see numerous Ingush towers and visit the battle tower of the Tsurov family. I will tell you why these monumental objects were erected, how they chose the ideal place and what difficulties the great builders of the past faced. You will find the largest tower complexes in two places
- In the Targim Basin, you will visit three ensembles of towers named after three brothers - Egikale, Hamkhi and Targime. Here we will talk about the life, crafts, culture and traditions of the Ingush from the Middle Ages to the middle of the 20th century.
- The Vovnushki castle complex will conquer you with views of towers that seem to grow out of the rocks of the Guloi-khi river gorge. This place became a finalist of the Seven Man-Made Wonders of Russia competition - I will reveal to you the legends of Vovnushki and explain what makes them unique.
In addition, on the way, we will stop at Tkhaba-Yerdy - one of the oldest Christian churches in Russia and a mysterious place where you will learn about the cults of the ancient inhabitants of Ingushetia.
Unforgettable landscapes of the Caucasus The entire path will be decorated with stunning mountain panoramas. You will drive through the Darial Gorge, along the Georgian Military Highway and across the Terek River. From the height of the Tsey-Loam mountain pass, you will see magnificent views of the snow-capped peak of Kazbek, and the sacred mountain Tsey-Loam will immerse you in a mysterious atmosphere - it is often shrouded in fog. At the pass, you will drink silver spring water and taste the traditional Ingush cakes "chapilg". We will walk along forest paths to two waterfalls - Lyazhginsky and the majestic Assinsky canyon. We will also pass through the highest mountain settlement in Ingushetia, where a 122-year old man lives!
