The charm of the spa resort Balatonfured The first stop of our trip will be one of the best Hungarian resorts - Balatonfured, which attracts lovers of marvelous landscapes, beach holidays and yachting. You will stroll along the embankment and along the picturesque Tagora Boulevard, admiring the smooth surface of Lake Balaton. You will also learn the secret of local carbon dioxide springs and be able to drink mineral water, the healing power of which has been known since the time of the ancient Romans
Tihany Peninsula - romantic and secluded On the reserved and legendary Tihany peninsula, which divides Lake Balaton into two parts by a "horseshoe", you will be greeted by almost toy houses, covered with thatched, with museums, craft shops and restaurants. Here we will visit an old abbey, where you will see the crypts with the burials of Hungarian monarchs, carved altars and ancient sculptures, as well as learn about the life of Benedictine monks. And then you will have time to stroll around the city, take pictures of lava stone houses with reed roofs and buy Tihany ceramics and famous lace
Festetics Palace and bathing in the thermal lake On the way to the famous lake Heviz, we will visit Keszthely, the oldest city on the Balaton coast. Our main goal here will be the Festetics Palace: you will explore the luxurious palace and park ensemble from the outside and hear the history of the noble Hungarian family Festetics. Then we will go to the small and green Heviz, known as the bathing city. Get ready to plunge into Europe's largest thermal lake with a unique water chemistry that has attracted travelers since the 17th century. And after swimming, a delicious lunch awaits you in the local charda.
