What awaits you
Volumetric view of Serpukhov I am a supporter of telling about the city without tearing pieces out of its history and making up different routes. Therefore, on the excursion you will hear about all the important fragments from the life of Serpukhov and get a complete picture of his fate. Let's talk about the famous local shrines: Vysotsky for men and Vvedensky Vladychny monasteries. We will talk about ancient Serpokhov (exactly "o"!) On a walk around Cathedral Mountain, where you will look at fragments of the white-stone Serpukhov Kremlin of the 16th century. Learn about the city's glorious merchant and industrial past in the 19th century. And also about the exploits of the Serpukhovites and the reasons why he was awarded the honorary title "Settlement of Military Valor"
The railway station is the city's surviving gate Here we will meet with you. Paradoxically, train stations often go unnoticed because of the hustle and bustle of the city. We will briefly linger at a three-story building with large arched windows. I will tell you about the value of the preserved building, its "twin brothers" in Tula, Orel, Kursk and other cities. And also about why the station was built away from Serpukhov - so that it had to be reached by the only road through the fields
Old Town Pages Then we will take a city bus and drive one and a half or two versts to the historic center. And then an ornate route along the first streets of the city awaits you, designed in such a way that you cover the maximum of architectural monuments. On the way, I will demonstrate pre-revolutionary photographs of the disappeared objects of antiquity. I will introduce you to the third, "secret" monastery. And, in addition, the program includes Bazaar Square, Kolomenskaya Street, the post office, where Leo Tolstoy used to visit, and the building of the Serpukhov Zemstvo Council, where Anton Chekhov often visited
During the walk, you can have a snack in an interesting cafe, the owner of which tried to restore the interior of the pre-revolutionary shop that was located here before.
