Uncharted surroundings of Serpukhov I spent many years collecting information about my region and understanding how it all looked before and what kind of life was in full swing here. Historical fragments of ancient and recent years First of all, we will go to the important monument of Protvino - the memorial "Line of Defense", once a place of fierce battles. From there, along the path to the river and through the suspension bridge we reach village Yuryatino … Here you will see an old dam with the ruins of a five-story mill of the 19th century in a brick style and hear about its creators - the Bobrovs merchants. And then I will introduce you to the history of the ancient settlement Spas-Gorodetsthat rises above the bank of Protva. And I'll show you the 6-meter giant mound left from the Vyatichi
Natural wealth of the region I will also take you to the Kaluga Niagara - an unusually high waterfall for these places, hidden in a small ravine, among spacious fields. Estate Troitskoe "My beloved estate" - that was the name of the Trinity princess Dashkova, who headed two Russian Academies of Sciences for almost 12 years. You will find out how much the estate meant in the life of Yekaterina Romanovna, get acquainted with the painstakingly designed design details, see a fragment of a real underground passage and discover one of the best examples of manor architecture of the second half of the 18th century.

- The excursion is completely pedestrian, but not tiring at all, since the whole day passes at a comfortable pace with stops for rest.
- Travelers get to the starting point of the excursion (bus station Protvino) on their own. Return to Serpukhov from Kremenki.
