If you have already walked through the state rooms of the Hermitage, I propose to dive deeper into the world of Dutch painting. This excursion is dedicated to one of its key figures, the brilliant Rembrandt van Rijn. You will explore the famous works of the master, from "Danae" to "Return of the Prodigal Son", catch the artist's handwriting and discover the deep meaning of the plots of his canvases. Group excursion Duration 1 hour Group size up to 6 people Children Allowed with children How it goes Other 1900 rubles per person

What awaits you

Immersion in the work of Dutch masters We will focus on the Hermitage Hall, which contains paintings by Rembrandt van Rijn, the great Dutch master of the 17th century. The focus will be on 20 paintings by the artist's brush, as well as several works by his closest students. Without overloading you with art criticism terms, I will help you grasp the essence of the Dutch school of painting and understand the most famous works of Rembrandt: each of them is designed to deeply comprehend human values and awaken sensuality, which is so lacking in everyday life

"Read" Rembrandt's masterpieces Through the analysis of the plots of world famous canvases, you will touch not only the creative, but also the personal life of the master. For example, find out what events in Rembrandt's life were reflected in the unusual interpretation of the Greek myth "Danae". We will talk about the human tragedy, which is reflected in the canvas "Descent from the Cross". Let's remember the enduring values, faith and trust that are captured on the canvas "The Sacrifice of Abraham." And the main center of attraction for us will, of course, be "The Return of the Prodigal Son" - the pinnacle of Rebrandt's work. You will consider the most important details of the picture and immerse yourself in its plot, which invariably gives rise to reflection on humanity, forgiveness, wisdom and spiritual greatness.
