This is a trip for those who want to take a break from the grandeur of Rome and enjoy the harmonious landscapes, but at the same time learn a lot about Italy. Our program includes legends and mysteries of the frozen city of Civita, a story about a miracle and a medieval castle in ancient Bolsena, harmonious views of valleys and a volcanic lake, as well as delicious discoveries. Individual excursion for 1-4 people Duration 7 hours Children Allowed with children How it goes By car € 250 per excursion Price for 1-4 people, regardless of the number of participants

What awaits you

Civita di Bagnoregio - castle town This place resembles a giant bird's nest coiled on top of a hill. Today, no more than 20 people live in Civita! The city, built by the Etruscans 2500 years ago, is connected with modernity only by a pedestrian bridge. From there, you will see enchanting views of green valleys and "lunar" badlands. I will explain what this means and why the city is called dying. We will talk about the patron saint of Civita, go to the stone church of St. Donatus and just walk along the paths

Bolsena - the lake and the city where the miracle happened The largest volcanic body of water in Europe and the city of the same name on its shore awaits you. Monuments in the Bolsena district will help represent the golden era of the Roman aristocratic dynasties and the reign of many popes. As you explore the city, you will surely hear about a miracle that happened here in the 13th century. Since then, the colorful Corpus Domini festival has been held annually in Bolsen - I will tell you about it and show the church where the miracle happened. In addition, we will descend into the catacombs with the burials of the first Christians and visit the Monaldeschi castle

In the final, get ready for gastronomic discoveries (you are in Italy!). We will take a look at a local restaurant with a large selection of fish dishes: in Lake Bolsena, there are carps, pikes, tench and eels, which Pope Martin IV loved to eat, for which Dante placed him in purgatory in the Divine Comedy.
