History and charm of old Kasimov In a cozy ancient town, the same age as Moscow, you will see the preserved merchant buildings and learn about one of the oldest monuments of the Ryazan region - the minaret of the Khan's mosque. You will walk along the places of unconventional routes: you will wind through the streets of the old district town, descend into ravines and climb hills, you will see almost magical houses, churches and Tatar shops. From the church bell tower, you will discover beautiful panoramas and visit the territory of the Kastrov estate, which is now being actively restored. You will also see buildings of unusual architecture and houses with platbands; walk around the filming locations of Gaidaev's "Incognito from St. Petersburg" and hear what the future Nobel laureate Boris Pasternak was doing in provincial Kasimov
Property of the Meshchersky Territory (for those who will travel with me from Ryazan) The road from Ryazan to Kasimov takes 3 hours. On the way, you will learn about the places of the fabulous Ryazan Meshchera, associated with Paustovsky, Solzhenitsyn, Kuprin and other famous writers. I will tell you about one of the oldest Ryazan monasteries founded by Prince Oleg. Driving through Spas-Klepiki, let's talk about Yesenin, who studied in this town. And in the village of Tuma - about Trinity Church with a marble iconostasis and murals based on sketches by Vasnetsov, Nesterov, Repin and Ivanov.
