Sebezh - a fairy tale among the lakes From Pskov we will be transported to an atmospheric corner of tranquility, beauty and European spirit. You will admire the landscapes of Sabezh, which is comfortably nestled on a narrow strip of land between two picturesque lakes - Sebezhsky and Orono. Find out why the town is called Venice, and trace its history - from the time when Sebezh was part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Poland to the present day. We will look at the preserved medieval architectural monuments: Castle Hill and Petrov Val, a holy spring near the wooden Kazan chapel and the Friendship Barrow. And from the bell tower of the Nativity Church you will see a mesmerizing panorama of Sebezh and its environs
Landscape miracle park in Orekhovno Next, you will find yourself in the amazing Orekhovno manor park, which belongs to the landscape architect Alexander Grivko, the owner of the most significant garden award European Garden Award. We will discuss how 5 hectares of land in the hands of a master and artist turned into a blooming garden. In the center of Orekhovno you will see a miniature castle in the Anglo-Norman style and the marvelous park surrounding it with graceful fountains, flower beds, romantic alleys and mysterious paths, gazebos and grottoes. And a separate sigh of admiration will be caused by the beautiful 19th century greenhouse brought to the estate from France.
