Convent life A tour of the Stefano-Makhrishchi Monastery is conducted by the nuns themselves. They will meet you at the monastery and lead you to the main shrines - the temple of Stephen Makhrishchsky, Peter and Paul and the gate church of St. Sergius of Radonezh. You will learn about the history of the monastery from the 14th century to the present day, see where the monastery refectory is located, and learn about the daily routine of the nuns and local farming. And then, if you want, enjoy delicious dairy products and baked goods
Pastoral landscapes The Stavropegic Holy Trinity Monastery is located near Sergiev Posad. In good weather, we will drive to the monastery directly through picturesque coniferous forests, and in rainy weather - along an asphalt road, but with a stop at the holy spring, consecrated in the name of the Tikhvin Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos. Here you can collect holy healing water, take a bath in the font and offer prayers of thanks. On the way we will be accompanied by truly Russian landscapes: views of the Molokcha River, a bog reserve and a picturesque surrounding village with old wooden houses.
