Schaaken castle The 13th century Shaaken castle-fortress hides many terrible and bloody secrets of the Middle Ages. We will go down into the dungeons and find a torture chamber, resurrecting ancient legends about knights, and then we will fast forward to the time of Peter I, who visited the local lands as part of the Great Embassy in 1697, and talk about the general, whose headquarters were located here. In the church of St. Barbara you will see a fragment of the medieval fresco of the Apostle Paul, and in the interactive museum of edged weapons hold a real sword and a berdysh in your hands
Cheese dairy Shaaken Dorf During the tour, I will tell you about the ancient Prussians and traditional Prussian cuisine. You will find out why one of the famous kings of this land loved to visit the peasants for dinner, and then in the cozy Shaaken Dorf cheese dairy of the early 20th century, you will taste craft cheese, which is prepared literally near the fortress walls. There is also a chocolate tasting with mascarpone. And all this with a view of the medieval stronghold!

- Schaaken is located near the airport, and therefore you can combine this excursion with a transfer and sightseeing tour of Kaliningrad.
