What awaits you
Apartment buildings outside … Petersburg courtyards are a special story. Diving into arches and winding through passages, you will feel the unique atmosphere of the city. Looking at the tastefully decorated facades, you will understand for whom the architects were trying, and hear about the residents of these expensive houses. We will look into some of the main ones and climb the marble staircases, admire the graceful stucco molding, oak doors and bright stained glass windows. And then we will visit one of the apartments - earlier it belonged to the merchant of the 2nd guild, Baryshnikov
and inside! In the apartment of the merchant Baryshnikov, it is easy to imagine how wealthy citizens lived in the past. Ceilings 5 meters high, shabby oak parquet flooring, a living room with a tiled stove and a huge sideboard - all this you can closely examine and even touch. We will draw your attention to the details and objects that have gone out of use. We will tell you how the apartment survived the hard times of "compaction" and the period of the blockade, and we will reveal the fate of the former and current residents. And if you want, you can take a ride in a coffin-sized elevator!
The tour will be led by one of our team's professional guides.
The excursion starts at the Mayakovskaya metro station. You will find out the exact meeting point immediately after booking.
