Ancient theater and Agora square You will see an amphitheater built in the 2nd century BC. and designed for seventeen thousand spectators. Hear how performances were staged in it, why the special space of the stage was filled with water, and why not only gladiatorial fights, but also divine services were held in the theater for two centuries. Apollo Museum and Temple The most important role in the life of the ancient city was played by water supply. You will see the surviving elements of the aqueduct, thanks to which water was supplied from the Manavgat River to the houses. You will also see the Roman baths, which were later used as a gymnasium. Alternatively, visit the local archaeological museum, which displays statues of gods and goddesses, bas-reliefs, tableware, jewelry, and tombs. Finally, appreciate the columns of the marble temple of Apollo and hear interesting facts from ancient Greek mythology.
