Culture and religion In a small but very interesting local history museum you will get acquainted with the life of the inhabitants of Heinrichswalde and the surrounding area, as well as learn about the Soviet period of the development of these lands. The Slavsky region is also a part of the huge delta of the Neman River, on which a complex reclamation system of canals and pumping stations, a unique polder landscape was created and maintained for centuries. You will visit one of these stations. St Elisabeth Convent In the village of Priozerye, you will visit the women's monastery, where you will see the highest Orthodox cross in Russia - the Bowing Cross - and see the complex of temples. You can have a bite to eat at a local cafe. On the territory of the monastery there is also a source with fonts, and nearby there is a subsidiary livestock farm, ostrich farm… If you bring carrots, apples or cabbage with you, you can feed numerous animals: goats, rabbits, ostriches and other inhabitants.
