The road to the port of Baikal is one of the most unusual routes in the vicinity of the lake, and this is what we have to explore. You will walk along the most difficult railway in Russia and discover its history, conquer Cape Baranchuk, meet the rarest natural monuments on the way and see Baikal, descended from postcards of the tsarist era. Individual excursion for 1-7 people Duration 11 hours Children Without children How it goes By car RUB 9500 per excursion Price for 1-7 people, regardless of the number of participants

What awaits you

Gifts to the Shaman-stone and the path to the Circum-Baikal Railway From Irkutsk along the old "tea road" we will reach the village of Listvyanka, to the shore of the mighty Baikal. At Cape Rogatka we will transfer to a motor boat (and in winter we immediately go to the port of Baikal by ferry) and go on a mini-cruise to the Shaman Stone, make an offering of gifts to the sacred place. Then, through the expanses of the lake, we will get to the legendary Circum-Baikal Railway (Circum-Baikal Railway)

Trekking along the "golden buckle" of Lake Baikal We will walk along the railway to the first tunnels and remember the titanic work of local stonecutters. After that we will reach the first protective gallery on the Circum-Baikal Railway, talk about the features of this structure and, finally, head towards the port of Baikal, admiring the picturesque coast with pebble beaches along the way. In the village itself, in order to replenish our strength, we will stop for lunch in one of the houses of local residents

Uncharted port After lunch we will continue to explore the area. We will go up to Cape Baranchuk to the magnificent Transfiguration Church, from where the panorama that flaunted on the postcards of tsarist Russia will open. On the way we will see the only plant in the world for bottling Baikal water without the use of filters. Along the ridge, through a picturesque forest, we will walk to the old English lighthouse and the marble rock of Love: here you will find one of the best views of the source of the Angara River and Listvyanka

If we have some free time until the next ferry, we can look into the museum of the history of the Circum-Baikal Railway in the building of the old station. And then, having crossed the source of the Angara, we will go back to Irkutsk.
